Jacksonville’s Ivan Pulley releases the long awaited All in This Together

A long familiar voice, Ivan Pulley’s debut solo album is a mature statement. All in this Together isn’t a coming of age record because, its already there. This is twelve tracks of introspection without tacky, morose melancholy.

Reminiscent of a new generation Neil Young and at times Austin, Texas’ very own Ben Kweller. Ivan plays multiple instruments and incorporates harmonies throughout this album. Opening with “Have You Seen the Light,” he challenges an ex paramour steadily through acoustic guitar. The theme of love lost runs rampant but, you won’t feel sad or restless listening to All in Together. You will here tinges of southern rock all throughout. You will also hear great solos and arrangements. Pulley also calls himself out in the process while holding everything together in “Had Enough,”. The record ends with the title track. It’s an optimistic closer that rounds out with the soft demand, “Tell me what you see in me,”.

Ivan Pulley can be seen throughout Jacksonville and he is headed to Nashville this November. He recently became the second runner up at this year’s regional IBC Challenge held in September. Just recently released, this album recorded by Chris Flowers at A1A Studios is a solid introduction that is pensive, aware and earnest.
