Production - Jacksonville Buzz, is printed by the web-offset method on newspaper stock. Advertising material must be submitted electronically via e-mail (Erica) or on disk (CD); all art and fonts must be included with file. Please obtain complete details on camera-ready specs from your sales representative or view below for our Camera Ready Ad specs.
Deadline - Jacksonville Buzz is published every Month. Please ask your sales representative for the ad deadline as they vary by month. Camera-ready advertising (meaning it needs no typesetting or camera work) must meet our specifications otherwise our design fee will apply.
Cancellation - Contract cancellation must be received 30 days prior to the ad deadline for the upcoming month.
Credits and Payments - JAXBARS will bill Client for Services to be performed during the time period on a monthly basis, on the first business day of the month, as outlined on the work order. Payments must be rendered by the 10th of each month, net 30 days. Any late payment(s) after 30 days will automatically be charged to the credit card given without notice. If invoices are not paid according to terms, JAXBARS reserves the right to assess late charges at a rate of ten (10) percent (%) per month on the unpaid invoice balance, which will be charged every 30 days. Delinquency in payment of 60 days will result in the loss of the frequency discount and the payment of a short rate. No further ads will run until account is paid. Client agrees to pay all costs of collection incurred by JAXBARS including, without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees and cost. Client shall pay such invoices in advance for the month prior to media being placed.
Follow these specifications - * All ads must be submitted as digital files. Hard copies are not acceptable.
* Ads may be e-mailed to Erica or given to your sales rep on a CD.
* Preferred format for ads is PDF. Please be sure to embed all fonts when creating the PDF.
Other formats which are acceptable - Illustrator EPS (please convert type to outlines or include fonts and art with ad, however we cannot use pc fonts, so if that is what you're using please convert type to outlines) Macintosh InDesign file (please include all fonts and art with ad) TIFF, JPEG (please build and save ad at high resolution, 300 dpi. This format is the least desirable for reproduction, especially when small type is used in the ad.)
* IMPORTANT - These file formats are NOT acceptable and cannot be submitted: PageMaker, Publisher, Powerpoint, Corel Draw, Microsoft Word, PC Quark Files.
* Title your email and name your file according to your account, sales rep, and date of publication.
Production Tips - * Make sure your ad is built to the correct size and that width and height orientation is correct. If you're confused feel free to ask your sales rep for help.
* Please use art in your ads that is scanned at a resolution of 300 to 400 dpi at 100% of its original size. Using lower resolution artwork will cause it to reproduce badly. Please do not use artwork taken from a website, these are generally 72 dpi and will look very bad in print.
* If building or submitting a color ad, please save it in CMYK color mode. If the ad is black and white please use the grayscale color mode.
