|EVERBANK FIELD'S NEW GIGANTIC SCOREBOARD NEARLY COMPLETE|
By: Miller On Sports
Date: June 20, 2014
The new scoreboards at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, appear imposing from outside the stadium. On June 19, 2014, the Miller on Sports team had exclusive access to view the scoreboards from inside the stadium. Construction teams and electronic technicians were working inside the scoreboard structure installing wiring and brackets. They looked like tiny toy soldiers dwarfed by the sheer size of the structures. Each scoreboard will measure 360 ft (120 yards - well over the length of a football field) and will stand six stories tall. They are billed as the largest LED screens in the world. The unveiling of the operational screens will occur July 26, 2014 (after a Fulham soccer match), and will include a free concert by Carrie Underwood.

EVERBANK FIELD SCOREBOARD - JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA
In the photo above, the turf is removed. Last weekend, Jacksonville hosted nearly 80,000 country western fans for Florida Country Superfest. Fans were allowed on the field. Seating covered the entire field, and the grass was damaged. According to groundskeepers, landscapers will replace the entire field.

It is hard to imagine that NFL players running down the field will not look up at the gigantic monitors to watch themselves LIVE. After Dallas introduced its new scoreboards, the attendance hit record-breaking numbers.
Miller on Sports staffers walked the field and saw where the exclusive on-field fan seating will be located. For the first time in Jaguars history, there will be a single row of on-field fan seating (approximately the 10 yard line) on both sides of the field. Construction of the pools is almost completed. A seat in the pool or on the field will be priced at $300 per person per game. Beautiful cabanas will be constructed directly behind the pools. It is estimated that cabana seating will accommodate 200 people per game and the cabana dwellers will have access to the shallow pools. Although the price per seat is steep, the $300 pp price tag includes premium food, beer and wine.
