Event to Raise Money for Domestic Violence Shelters
Ponte Vedra High School’s Helping Betty/Hubbard Club is presenting “Teens Take a Stand,” a benefit concert and silent auction, on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m.
The event features award-winning performances from Derek Coghlan, the Sharkappellas, the Splash Dance Team, the PVHS Jazz Band, Douglas Anderson’s Malik Bilbrew, former Alhambra actor and director Jason Nettle, internationally recognized singer Julie Durden, and more.
Tickets are $10 for students, $15 for adults. All of the proceeds will be split between the Hubbard House and the Betty Griffin Center, two local domestic violence shelters. The club was founded in 2015 to spread awareness of domestic violence and to support local shelters. It is the only high school club of its kind in St. Johns County.
