When the grills fire up, it can become easy to lose focus and stray from even the best-laid nutrition and menu plans.
However, that’s no reason to ski pout on one of the most social aspects of the spring and summer months.
Stick to the lean proteins – Skip the buns and bread and go straight for the meat.
Head for the fresh stuff – raw and roasted veggies, salads (limit the mayo-based dressings) and fruit salads are where it’s at. Fill up your plate!
Watch the cocktails – Sugary drinks like margaritas and daiquiris can add lots of unwanted calories to your day. Look for simpler drinks with less mixers and sugar, or hydrate with some fruit-infused water.
But most of all, enjoy and have fun!
