Snacking On Acai Bowls

Summer is the perfect time to get your fill of fresh fruits. Rather than blending together a smoothie, why not indulge in a fresh, delicious, and visually stunning acai bowl?

You can visit one of Jacksonville’s natural food establishments, like JuiceBox, for a bowl made to order, or go ahead and stock up on ingredients to make your own at home.

Start by using a blender to mix up acai powder or frozen acai berry packet with your choice of base (soy milk, almond milk, banana, spinach or kale). When your mixture has thickened, transfer to a chilled bowl and get creative!

Top with sliced strawberries, bananas or kiwi. Toss on some blueberries or raspberries. Add shredded coconut, chia seeds, cacao nibs or goji berries. Finish it off with a drizzle of nut butter and enjoy the nutritious snack!
