STORY BEHIND THE MUSIC:
Luke Bryan will be stopping in Jacksonville for his Kill the Lights 2017 Winter Tour with special guest Brett Eldredge. Luke Bryan is an American country music singer and songwriter best known for hits like “Drink a Beer” and “That’s My Kind of Night.”
Luke Bryan got his first guitar at 14 and soon began writing and producing his own songs. The Georgia native moved to Nashville after high school to pursue his music career and after a few short years, created his first album with Capitol Records. The album was titled “I’ll Stay Me” and was released in 2007. The album earned him a nomination for Top New Make Vocalist from the Academy of Country Music. His next album, “Doin’ My Thing” came out two years later. Both albums peaked at No. 2 on the country charts with multiple hit singles. From there, his career took off, leading to countless other hit albums and songs like “Tailgates and Tanlines” and “Spring Break…Here to Party.”
“Tailgates and Tanlines” had four singles in the Top 5 of the country charts with “I Don’t Want This Night to End” and “Drunk on You” both hitting No. 1. Bryan began his crossover success here, as “Spring Break…Here to Party” reached the pop charts in addition to the country charts. In 2013, Bryan won the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year Award and released his fourth studio album, “Crash My Party,” which hit No. 1 on both the country and pop charts.
Bryan is constantly touring and recording new music in addition to enjoying time with his wife and sons.
