What types of beer do you have on tap and how many do you offer?

We have 24 Florida Craft beers on draft and focus on small-batch specialties and seasonals that are constantly changing each week!

How many different beers do you offer in bottles or cans?

We have an average of 125 beers from all over the world and a large variety of US craft beers from all 50 states.

What is the 99 Bottles of Beer program all about?

Our ’99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall’ list will take you on an educational journey of styles from all over the world and introduce you to many different craft seasonals from the US. Once you finish the list, you will get a plaque with your name placed on our ’99’ wall and also a ‘Finisher’s’ t-shirt that says…”I got 99 problems and a beer ain’t one!”

Do you offer other types of drinks besides beer?
We carry a great selection of wines, champagne and mead in addition to our top notch beer selection.

What types of food do you serve, and what is different about it?

We offer an extensive menu of gourmet hot dogs and more, including appetizers, chili, sliders and salads. Our menu is unique in that everything we offer is organic/non-gmo whenever possible, and all of our meats are from real farms that are trusted to provide the best humanely raised/grass-fed meats without any antibiotics, hormones or nitrates/nitrites (except those that are naturally occuring from celery/salt) all the way down to the spices in our chili. In other words, our menu items = GUILT-FREE and NO JUNK!

What are the monthly charity events that take place at Brewz |n| Dawgz all about?

We are involved with supporting local communities and their causes. One of our biggest passions & contributions is for local pet rescues. Our ‘Dawgz for Dogs’ charity night brings in local breweries and their specialty craft beers, and we pair them with a local pet rescue to raise funds and awareness for their efforts. A portion of all spotlighted craft brewery sales for that event are contributed to the pet rescues, and the breweries will usually match our donation!

How did you get involved with animal-related charities?

Our last two FUR kids were rescues, and my wife Samantha is an animal lover who fosters/volunteers whenever possible. We wanted to promote and give to this cause in a bigger way than we could individually. She came up with ‘Dawgz for Dogs’ as a way for us to get a larger local community to come together and help by donating and also educating on the importance of adopting.

What kind of Happy Hour specials do you offer?

We have Happy Hour from 2-6pm every day (including weekends). Happy Hour, features our $4 FL Drafts and Guenoc House Wine.  We offer an extended TGIF Happy Hour on Fridays until 7p… Cheers!

Is Brewz |n| Dawgz family-friendly?

Yes indeed! We offer many different things to many different people of all ages including: classic board games on every table, 1st Thursdays Beer Bingo, Surf/Skate/Xtreme sports related TV programming, free Wi-Fi and more!

Who do you see more of at your bar: craft beer geeks or those new to craft beer?

It is pretty 50/50, and we get everyone from all levels of beer styles and knowledge (or lack thereof). We always approach each person at his/her own level of craft experience to make sure they are excited about their choices. This opens them up to new and different varieties as they learn to trust our attention to their individual palates.

What special or monthly events do you hold?

Besides our monthly ‘Dawgz for Dogs’ charity night, we are always showcasing FL breweries and have done multiple St. Augustine launches for new breweries entering our market. We also have our monthly Beer Bingo every 1st Thursday from 6:30-8:30p, where you can win all things beer including: Free beer, hats, tees, glassware, etc! Our newest monthly event is for those who are doing the ’99 list’ (or those who would like to start). This night is about bringing in breweries from outside of FL and from all over the world, by offering special small-batch bottles and seasonals that would not be readily available anywhere else to help on your journey to finish our ’99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall’…Cheers!

Why did you open Brewz |n| Dawgz?

When we fell in love with and moved to St. Augustine in 2010, we knew this was where we would make our home and take the plunge to open our own place! We wanted to fill a void we noticed in the area by offering local craft beers and quality American comfort food that was organic/non-gmo. Eat Clean | Drink Local is our Guilt-Free and No Junk take on how we prepare our menu…ENJOY!

What else do you want people to know about Brewz ‘N Dawgz?

When you come in, ask about our 24 Liter Club, Bar Throne, DDD Challenge and Reaper Ghost Dawg Spicy Challenge…See you soon!
